Amerson House
The Amerson House: A House of Anglican Studies, Spirituality, and Hospitality
Overseen by a group of contemplative parishioners from St. Bartholomew’s, Amerson House seeks to serve both the parish and the wider community. Group and individual retreat days are offered, as well as programming focused on contemplative living. Meeting space and overnight retreat space is available by inquiry. BROCHURE
The former rectory, built in 1957, is a four-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bath residence located behind St. Bartholomew's at the far northwest corner of the parking lot. This facility provides meeting space and study areas for seminarians and diocesan groups as well as others.
Named the Anglican House of Studies in 1999, the house was dedicated to the Glory of God, in memory of Dr. Richard Amerson and in thanksgiving for the Amerson Family, in 2004. It provides a peaceful place within the city for an all-day meeting, a small-group retreat weekend, a quiet retreat with individual spiritual direction, or just a peaceful place to spend some private time in prayer and reflection.
Contact the church office, 404-634-3336, to find out how to rent the space.
